Opening an account and getting verified

Accounts are opened on the operator's own site. shokker.biz describes the process from the outside — it collects no data, forwards no documents and cannot open, unblock or inspect anything. What follows is the order in which checks actually happen, how long each one takes, and which decisions made during setup determine how quickly money moves later. Cashier timings are on the payments page.

Why identification is not a photo upload

In most markets opening an account means photographing a document, uploading it and waiting for someone to look at it. Estonia has a national e-identity infrastructure, and that changes the whole schedule. Confirming identity through ID-kaart, Mobiil-ID or Smart-ID gives the operator a verified answer without human involvement, so this step stops being a bottleneck altogether. Where a guide describes a day of waiting for document review, it is either describing another market or a case where the e-identity route was unavailable.

Limits are the decision that matters most

The deposit limit set during setup is the only tool in the cashier that acts before money is spent rather than after. Its logic is deliberately one-directional: lowering it takes effect immediately, raising it applies only after a waiting period. The practical consequence is that a slightly uncomfortable opening figure is the right one — it can always be tightened, and loosening it in the heat of a moment simply does not work. Stronger instruments, including a playing break and the national self-exclusion register, are described under self-exclusion and limits.

One name across three places

Everything about later speed depends on a single condition: the account name, the verified identity and the owner of the payment instrument must be the same person. Funds return only to whoever sent them. A joint account, a family member's card or somebody else's wallet breaks the return leg — the deposit may well succeed while the payout cannot. This is why the first deposit should be made with exactly the channel intended for later withdrawals.

Source of funds, and what it is not

A request for proof of the source of funds arrives rarely, and usually when a payout exceeds the pattern established so far. A payslip, a bank statement or a similar document explaining where money came from is what gets asked for. It is a standard anti-money-laundering step rather than an accusation, and answering it completely the first time removes an entire round of correspondence. Those files go into the operator's own account area — never into a chat window and never to this portal.

Why registrations fail

The tax footnote

Winnings from an operator licensed in Estonia are not subject to income tax for the player. The exact wording and any exceptions live in the material published by the Tax and Customs Board, which is the only source worth relying on here. Licensing is a fact worth knowing rather than a reason money moves faster — the speed comes from the calendar and the queue, not from the register.

What this portal cannot do

Shokker is the operator whose cashier and conditions are described here. No account can be opened from this page, no form is filled in here and no document is uploaded here. If a signup fails or verification does not go through, the operator is the only party able to act — how to write a message that gets answered in one round is on the support page, and the formal route beyond that is set out under complaints.

What to have ready before starting

The form goes smoothly when four things are already at hand. An e-identity tool comes first and nothing proceeds without it. Second is a working email address that will still be accessible a year from now, because confirmations and recovery messages go there. Third is a phone number that stays in use. Fourth is a clear idea of which bank account or wallet will be the channel money travels through, since that single choice shapes later payout speed more than any other setting in the account.

Passwords deserve their own line. The most common way to lose access is not an attack on the operator but a password reused somewhere that later leaked. A unique password and a recovery mailbox you can actually open cost thirty seconds at setup and cannot be retrofitted after the fact.

The first three things to do afterwards

Immediately after the account exists, and before any game is opened, three actions are worth taking in order. Set the deposit limit. Make the first deposit with exactly the channel intended for future withdrawals. Check that the name on the account matches the document letter for letter. Together they take less time than a single round of correspondence with support, and they prevent the precise situation most support messages are written about.

Registration FAQ

How long does opening an account take?
The form takes a couple of minutes and e-identity authentication adds seconds. The longer part only appears at the first withdrawal, when the request goes through manual review.
Is a document photo needed after all?
Usually not for a user identified through an e-identity tool. Documents come up separately when proof of the source of funds is requested for a larger sum, which is a different check from identification.
Can a deposit limit be raised later?
It can, but the change applies only after a delay. Lowering takes effect at once. The asymmetry is intentional, and it is the reason to start from a smaller number.
Can someone else's bank account be used?
No. The owner of the payment instrument has to be the account holder, because a payout travels back only to the person who deposited. A different name stops the return leg rather than the deposit.
